Established in the North of France since 2001, Richard Baudry has been working as a guitar maker for about 30 years.
He was an apprentice of Christophe Leduc for 3 years, and then went on a “tour de France” to meet other guitar makers, such as Claude Fouquet or Franck Cheval.
With now more than 150 creations to his credit, Richard, who has been working since 2008 with his wife Catherine, offers to amateur as well as professional guitarists unique, made to order instruments, which are always thought and created with excellence in mind.
His experience enables him to have a large panel of fabrication, from folk or classic guitars to electric guitars, by way of original creations such as the Luna with offset roses, the JumboKe (little jumbo in Flemish), the nylon-strings folk and, since 2020, a jazz model.
Richard has been collaborating with several famous artists, especially Eric Gombart and François Sciortino, for whom he created in 2018 the model entitled “Artistes Signatures”, with nylon strings for Eric and steel strings for François.
Rewarded in 2017 with the label “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant” (Living Heritage Enterprise), which distinguishes enterprises with an excellent savoir-faire, his workshop is also a place for trainees to follow professional trainings, which have been set up for 10 years. Richard also collaborates with the Guitarist Acoustic magazine, especially for articles on guitar-making.
