Marbrerie Vandermarlière

Established in 1931 in Comines (59), Vandermarlière marble works specializes in engraving, building and classical decoration marble work and stone cutting.

Thanks to the creativity of our design office, we offer our customers innovative solutions and help them choose the most suitable material for their project: stone, marble or granite. This material may itself be combined with metal (iron, stainless steel, bronze, brass, etc.), wood or glass.

From monumental engravings to the design of unique objects, our assets are know-how and creativity.

Our areas of expertise: restoration, maintenance and copying of antique works with cabinetmakers and antique dealers. We also perform, directly or as a subcontractor, engraving and inlay work for large marble companies. Various artists, designers and architects also use our services.

Thanks to our particular know-how in engraving and inlaying (marquetry, mosaic, and scagliola) as well as in forgotten techniques (stairs on Saracen vaults), we have created the pediment of the Lille Flandres (France) train station, the parvis des Droits de l’Homme square in Lille (France), the tribute to Jacques Brel in Anderlecht (Belgium) and we have also participated in exhibitions at the FIAC in Paris (International contemporary art fair) with works created for contemporary artists.

Our credo: to bring stones to life by combining our ancestral know-how with modern, innovative techniques.
